Phlebotomy Technician Program
Our Phlebotomy Technician course is approved by the Florida Department of Education and is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the field of phlebotomy. The program is comprehensive, combining online theoretical instruction, hands-on lab experience, and clinical practice.
Internship Requirement
After completing the classroom and lab components, students will proceed to a clinical internship, where they will complete 37 blood draws at an assigned laboratory. This practical experience ensures competency in real-world scenarios and patient interactions.
Certification
Upon successfully completing the course, internship, and passing the required exam, students will receive a Phlebotomy Technician Certificate issued by the state of Florida, qualifying them to begin a rewarding career in the healthcare field.

Course Curriculum
MED101 Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
90 hours of online theoretical training covering the human body systems, medical terminology, and foundational concepts essential for a career in healthcare

HIV101 HIV/AIDS, Bloodborne Pathogens, and OSHA Compliance

6 hours of online theoretical training focused on workplace safety, prevention of infectious diseases, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
PHL101 Phlebotomy

Online Theory: 30 hours of online instruction covering phlebotomy techniques, patient care, and ethical practices.

On-Site Lab: 45 hours (5 days) of hands-on training at our facility, including one full day of instruction with a doctor (8 hours). Students will learn venipuncture techniques, equipment usage, and specimen handling in supervised environment.
What is a Phlebotomy Technician training program?
Is Phlebotomy Technician licensed in Florida?
Phlebotomy Technicians are not licensed by the state of Florida. Most employers require completion of a formal training program and may prefer or require national certification. You can also become NHA or / and MEDCA certified for an additional cost of $200.
