Our Phlebotomy Technician course is approved by the Florida Department of Education and is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the field of phlebotomy. The program is comprehensive, combining online theoretical instruction, hands-on lab experience, and clinical practice.

Internship Requirement
After completing the classroom and lab components, students will proceed to a clinical internship, where they will complete 37 blood draws at an assigned laboratory. This practical experience ensures competency in real-world scenarios and patient interactions.

Certification
Upon successfully completing the course, internship, and passing the required exam, students will receive a Phlebotomy Technician Certificate issued by the state of Florida, qualifying them to begin a rewarding career in the healthcare field.

PHL101 Phlebotomy

A Phlebotomy Technician training program prepares students for entry level phlebotomy jobs by teaching blood collection techniques and patient care skills used in medical offices, laboratories, hospitals, and clinics.

Phlebotomy Technicians are not licensed by the state of Florida. Most employers require completion of a formal training program and may prefer or require national certification. You can also become NHA or / and MEDCA certified for an additional cost of $200.

Yes. Our Phlebotomy Technician program prepares eligible graduates to sit for nationally recognized phlebotomy certification exams.

Students receive hands-on training in venipuncture and capillary collection, specimen handling, infection control, medical terminology, patient communication, safety protocols, and healthcare compliance.
Program length varies by schedule. Most students complete the Phlebotomy Technician training program in a short period of time.
Yes. Students receive hands-on classroom and lab training designed to prepare them for real world clinical environments.
Yes. Upon completion of the program, students complete a clinical internship at affiliate locations such as medical offices, laboratories, or healthcare facilities to gain real world experience.

Yes. The program requires only one day of in person practice at the school. Students also have the option to complete additional hands on practice at affiliate urgent care or medical office locations. The remaining portion of the program is completed online at your own pace, allowing maximum flexibility.
