About Course

The Medical Assistant program at NAMIA is designed to prepare students for a versatile career in the healthcare industry. The curriculum includes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to take certification exams to become nationally recognized Medical Assistants or Phlebotomy Technicians. The program aims to equip graduates with the necessary skills to excel in various medical settings, such as clinics, hospitals, and private practices.

Course Content

Medical Terminology and Anatomy
Understanding medical language and the human body's structure and function.

Clinical Procedures
Training in vital signs measurement, patient examination, IV Therapy, phlebotomy, EKG, administering medications, and assisting with minor surgeries.

Laboratory Techniques
Instruction in specimen collection, laboratory safety, and diagnostic testing.

Administrative Skills
]Learning medical office procedures, including scheduling, billing, coding, and electronic health records management.

Patient Care
Emphasizing patient communication, empathy, and ethical practices in healthcare.

First Aid and CPR
Certification in basic life support techniques.

Externship
Hands-on experience in a real healthcare setting to apply learned skills and gain practical exposure.
